Volunteers Acknowledged

Our volunteer Instructors have been acknowledged by the Australian Government for their efforts in promoting the art of Wing Chun and for their contributions to enhancing our community. The $5000 the club receives from the Volunteer Grants program will improve teaching conditions for both our Instructors and our Members. We plan to purchase a large (27") Multimedia Computer, Lounge Chairs and mini Kitchen facilities. Since our opening in October 2008 our Instructors have volunteered more than 1500 hours in sharing and promoting the art of Wing Chun.

Studio for Hire

Saturday Morning Classes

New Uniforms for Kids Kung Fu

We've ordered new uniforms for our Kids Kung Fu classes from Lizards sports uniforms. The uniforms were bought with support from the Community Benefits Scheme.

Martial Arts Supplies

We are now stocking a range of martial arts clothing, other apparel and training equipment supplied by Stone Monkey, Asian Imports.

Andrew Withford Returns

Our Si-Hing, Andrew Withford from the Sunshine Coast Wing Chun Academy was in Darwin recently for a return visit to our School. Along with Andrew was Instructor Cameron Lowe and together they left us with some very valuable information that will continue to enhance our training.

While he was here, Andrew also undertook an external review of our club and made a number of reccomendations that we will implement over the coming months. Andrew's feedback will lead to significant improvements in our teaching and club structures.

Andrew will return later in the year to oversee the Instructor Grading that Glen and Grant are currently working towards. We are grateful to both Andrew and Cameron.
